Westerville Strong

Here at Nine Line Apparel, we honor those who serve us. We recognize first responders for their dedication to the job. Tragedy sometimes hits when first responders are working and they come to their end of watch. We were contacted by a former service member in Columbus, Ohio when the unthinkable happened on February 10, 2018 in Westerville, a suburb just to the north of Columbus.

Officers Anthony Morelli and Eric Joering responded to a 911 hang-up call around lunch time and were immediately met with gunfire. Officer Joering was pronounced dead at the scene while Officer Morelli later died at the hospital.

"There are no words to express my family’s condolences to the Westerville PD and the families of Officers Morelli and Joering - our hearts and prayers are with them. This was a true tragedy and our community lost two heroes. As a husband, father, veteran, and citizen of the Columbus, Ohio community, I recognize and deeply appreciate the bravery and scarifies these officers (and all officers) make each and every day. As a small token of my appreciation for the Westerville PD, their families, and the community, I wanted to have a shirt made to honor Officers Morelli and Joering to make sure they are not forgotten. God bless them, their families, the Westerville PD, and our community," says Philip LaGamba, of Columbus, OH. #WestervillePD #WestervilleSTRONG
