Citizen Of The Year

Starts to Ship December 7th

Apparently being extremely unpatriotic and downright disrespectful towards our military, veterans and first responders lands you on the cover of GQ whatever Magazine nowadays. Such is the instance for now unemployed and former NFL football player and quarterback, Colin Kaepernick. As we all well know by now, from seeing his face plastered across our TV screens, Facebook newsfeeds and mobile phones these last several days, Colin was named "Citizen of the Year" by GQ Magazine on November 13. He is being hailed and celebrated as "the man who became a movement" by the international monthly men's magazine.

So let's get this straight America, a popular magazine that has been in existence since 1931, that has military based articles included within it, and has featured famous actor, pro-military supporter and VETERAN Clint Eastwood on its cover several times before, has suddenly decided to put a man who is DISRESPECTING our veterans on its cover, naming him "Citizen of the Year"? Sounds a little ironic, right?! Yeah it doesn't make sense to us either. Kaepernick, who was once famous, but is now infamous in the eyes of patriotic Americans and veterans everywhere for not standing during the playing of our National Anthem, should NOT be rewarded for his actions or for making this shameful display of dishonoring our military and first responders in front of millions of Americans during his time with the San Francisco 49ers.

He has sparked a shameful movement which still continues among other NFL players today who have decided to take a knee or sit during the National Anthem at games to protest their similar beliefs. Disrespecting the brave men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces who have fought and died for our country and our flag will not be tolerated by Nine Line Apparel, ever.

Colin Kaepernick: Not MY Citizen of the Year!
